Texas Instruments TPS62851x buck converter is a series of pin to pin 0.5A, 1A, 2A (continuous) and 3A (peak) buck DC/DC converters with high efficiency, synchronization and ease of use. This device is based on peak current mode control topology. These low resistance switches can achieve up to 2A continuous output current and 3A peak current. The switching frequency is internally fixed at 2.25MHz, and can also be synchronized to the 1.8MHz to 4MHz external clock. In the PWM/PFM mode, TPS62851x will automatically enter the power saving mode under light load, so as to maintain high efficiency in the whole load range. TPS62851x can provide 1% output voltage accuracy in PWM mode, which is helpful for power supply design with high output voltage accuracy. Through the SS/TR pin, the startup time can be set or the output voltage can be tracked to an external source, so that different power rails can be externally sequenced and the surge current during startup can be limited.
